Rest in Algeria. Location of the city of Constantine, the capital of the eponymous province: north-east of Algeria, 80 km. from the Mediterranean coast.
While selecting a tour to the city of Constantine, one should know that it was founded in 203 BC, originally called- Cirta and was the capital of Numidia. In the period of the Roman Empire became the center of the province of New Africa. The present name it has received in honor of Emperor Constantine the Great. The city is famous of well-developed arts and crafts: weaving, carpet and leather goods manufacturing. There are numerous remnants of Roman buildings, mosques and mausoleums here. Main attractions: Jamma el-Kebir Mosque (1221), the Palace of Ahmed Bey, the Islamic University, the Museum of Constantine
